Background:
Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan approved research project titled: “HIV/AIDS SENISTIZATION-SELF DISASTER MANAGEMENT AMONG HIJRAS (EUNCHES) IN FAISALBAD” under Social Integration Outreach Programme (SIOP). It was a joint venture between HEC and GC University. And both institutions, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan and GCUFhavereleased the funds for the implementations of the project titled “HIV/AIDS Sensitization-Self Disaster Management AmongHijras (EUNCHES) in Faisalabad’.
Objectives of the consultancy:
The proposed objective of the project will be following:
- To provide a healthy and informative sessions regarding the awareness of HIV/AIDs
- Deliver the session on the awareness of HIV/AIDs and self-disaster management to the Hijras.
- To provide the knowledge about methods of safe sex for the prevention of transmission of HIV/AIDs
- Session regarding myths about HIV/AIDS transmission in daily life to avoid stigmatization.
Profile of the Social Mobiliser:
- Mobilizers should have previous experience ofsocial mobilization.
- Master of sociology degree holder.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social mobilization at community level.
- Strong grip on local language.
