Applications are invited for the following temporary (likely to become permanent) teaching and non teaching posts in various faculties/ departments/ offices of GC University, Faisalabad from Pakistani Nationals, with given pay scales mentioned against each plus usual allowances as permissible under the rules of the University. The candidates must meet the qualifications / experience as detailed below.

1. Professor (BPS-21) in the following discipline

Age Limit: 35-55 Years Qualification:- Ph.D. from a HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field. Experience: 15-year teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization OR 10-years post-Ph.D. teaching / research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Publications: The applicant must have 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years) in HEC recognized journals.

2. Associate Professor (BPS-20) in the following disciplines

OR Experience: 5-years post-Ph.D. teaching / research experience in a HEC recognized University or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Publications: The applicant must have 10 publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years) in HEC recognized journals.

3. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in the following disciplines

Age Limit: 30-45 Years Qualification (all disciplines except Computer Science): Ph.D. in the relevant field from HEC recognized University / Institution Experience: No experience required OR Qualification: Master's degree (foreign) or M.Phil (Pakistan) or equivalent degrees awarded after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from a HEC recognized University / Institution. Experience: 4 year teaching / research experience in a recognized university or a post graduation institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization Qualification (for computer science): Master's degree in relevant field from a HEC recognized University/ Institution. Experience: 02 years teaching/ research experience in a recognized Institution/ University/ College or 02 years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. OR Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant field from a HEC recognized University / Institution. Experience: No experience required for Ph.D. degree holders.

Qualification & Experience for Lecturers (all disciplines except Fine Arts) Age Limit: 21-35 years Qualification: First class Master's degree or equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd division in the academic career from a HEC recognized University / Institution. Experience: No experience required. Qualification & Experience for Lecturers in Fine Arts Age Limit: 21-35 years Qualification: First professional degree (4 years minimum, First Division) with no 3rd Division in academic career from a HEC recognized University/ Institution. Experience: No experience required.

5. IT Manager (BPS-19, Salary negotiable) in Server Room (01 Post)

Age Limit: 30-45 Years Qualification & Experience for IT Manager 1st Class Master's degree in Computer Sciences, or Engineering (Preferably Computer Science/ IT) from a recognized University. There should be no 3rd division in the academic career. Relevant certification will be a plus point. Experience: At least 5 years experience of managing IT Services, 2 years of which should be in a similar administration, knowledge and background. Must have worked with managed network devices and services, strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, VLAN, SNMP, Security etc. as desirable. Proofs of pervious experience with reference letters and / or contract details.

6. Assistant Treasurer (BPS-17) 01 Post

Age Limit: 21-45 Years Qualification & Experience for Assistant Treasurer M.A./ M.Com at least 2nd division with 3 years experience in Accounts in a Government or Private Organization of repute plus reasonable knowledge of computer programming and software.

7. Research / Teaching Assistant (BPS-16) in the following disciplines

Instructions:

  1. The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the website of the University (Job Application Form) and shall be submitted with demand draft of Rs. 300/- for the post of Assistant Treasurer and Rs. 700/- for all other posts in favour of Treasurer, Government College University, Faisalabad except for the posts of Research / Teaching Assistant. However, the applicants desiring to have form through post may obtain the same on written request along with self addressed envelop of large size with Rs. 25/- postage stamps. The application must accompany attested copies of educational testimonials / certificates, I.D. Card, two recent photographs and updated Curriculum Vitae should be submitted with the application.
  2. The candidates from abroad may submit their applications on plain paper, accompanied by recent Curriculum Vitae along with copies of degrees / testimonials and experience certificates.
  3. Incomplete or the applications received after due date will not be entertained.
  4. The University reserves the rights not to consider any application or fill the post without giving any reason.
  5. The applications are required on prescribed form in quadruplicate for the posts of Professor & Associate Professors and triplicate for Assistant Professors, Lecturers, Assistant Treasurer & I.T. Manager.
  6. Only single copy of application on prescribed form is required for Research/ Teaching Assistant.
  7. The candidates already in service must apply through proper channel by the due date.
  8. Complete applications must reach the Deputy Registrar (Personnel), Government College University, Faisalabad by mail not later than 31-03-2011
Note: Only short listed candidates will be called for test / interviews. No TA / DA is admissible when called for test / interview.
