A seminar on Palaeontology held in the department of Zoology which was presided by Dean Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning Professor Dr. Humayun Abbas. Dr. Farhat Jabeen presented her welcome address and describe the importance of Palaeontology in the field of Zoology.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Akhtar (Ex- Dean Faculty of Life Sciences and Chairperson Department of Zoology, University of Punjab), Dr. Muhammad Akbar Khan (Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Punjab), Dr. Muhammad Abdul Majid Khan (Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Punjab) presented their lectures in Seminar. Dr. Khizar Samiullah (Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, GCUF) was the Principal Organizer of this event and also he was Key Speaker.
On 2nd day of this Seminar, A field tour was conducted and Fossils locality Dhook Bun Ameer Khatoon (District Chakwal) was thoroughly was investigated by one hundred and ten students with ten faculty members and several fossils specimens were collected their age is about 11 million years ago.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali (TI) distributed the shields among Key Speakers in New Campus Government College University.
