The Athletics team of Government College University Faisalabad participated in All Pakistan Inter University Athletics Championship and secured third position in this championship. Athlete Sami Ullah got Gold Medal in 10000 meter race, silver medal in 5000 meter race and browns medal in 1500 meter race. Fakhar Zaman got silver medal in high jump and browns medal in 400 meter race. Vice Chancellor announced a cash prize of Rs.7000 for all gold medalists, Rs.5000 for all silver medalists and Rs.3000 for all browns medalists. The vice chancellor also appreciated the efforts of Directorate of Sports.
