The Environmental Sciences Department of GCUF arranged a two-day International Conference titled ‘Global Environment Changes’ and Green Expo on January 15 to address the issues of air pollution, land degradation, water quality, climate changes etc. It was arranged in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission and the Pakistan Science Foundation. The inaugural session was presided over by GCUF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zakir Hussain while Pakistan Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR), Islamabad, Chairman Dr. Shaukat Parvez was the chief guest. The experts from European and Asian countries also participate in it. The moot comprised eight technical sessions aimed at mapping out a comprehensive plan to cope with the environment issues.
